We’ve just finished up the character for the book! No on to finishing up the writeup. I’ve also been working hard on Oak Swamp as of late to get the trailer ready for December. Once that’s done then I’ll get back to posting some personal work again.

Last week we had the honor of being invited to be a part of the upcoming book Essence: Creatures from Ballistic Publishing. We can’t say much about the book other than it should definitely be cool and worth picking up, and not just because we’re in it More updates to come when we can.

Here’s the first look at our new character, kind of a woodland fairy type creature. On the left is the base sculpt in zbrush and the left is the retopo’d geo that will be taken into mudbox for details and textures. We’ll post updates along the way.

This was our first big collaborative effort from last year. I did the mesh, a portion of the sculpting and textures, and all the rendering. Fabrizio pulled out all those crazy details in the face for some extra creepiness. Enjoy.
